Spider Veins Removal on the Face and Body

Spider veins are small clusters of red veins that appear on the cheeks, around the nose or on the chin. Although they mean no harm or medical complication, they are aesthetically inconvenient. High quality vascular laser used at our clinic enables to remove gently even the tiniest veins. This method can also utilise those women who have smaller varicose veins on legs. Vascular laser treatment can be combined with classic methods i.e. sclerotisation, electrocoagulation or varicose veins surgery.

Laser type: Candela VBeam.

Principle: laser beam selectively binds red haemoglobin pigment and decompose it. Treated vascular lesion is absorbed by action of immune system, depending on biological ability (age) of an individual and extent of the treatment.

Laser treatment usually does not require any stay in hospital. In children the treatment can by performed under a general anaesthetic. We treat children of 2 years and older. The parents may be present during the procedure; they may sit next to the patient’s bed or hold the baby in their lap. Immediately after the treatment the treated area changes its colour, but it is still visible. Absorbing is done in following weeks, when the treated vascular lesion is eliminated by the immune system.

It is good to cover the treated area by some healing ointment (e.g. Calcium panthotenicum) in the first few days after the procedure. When sunbathing, we recommend using sunbathing creams with high sun protection factor (about 50). Furthermore you should restrict the physical activities and avoid hot baths.

A consultation with the physician is necessary before the procedure.

The procedure cannot be performed when the patient has tanned skin, is pregnant, and in patients with decompensated diabetes, cancer or other serious conditions.
